Psychophysiological Stress Analysis System (PSAS)
This rendering describes the design for the
Psychophysiological Touch Screen Stress Analysis (PTSSA)
for security screening at
Ports of Entry/Exit and Airline/Ship Terminals
Created, developed and patented by Profiles Research Services, LLC.

Touch Screen Introduction…
This is a standardized computer generated survey. It is IMPORTANT that
you answer each survey question TRUTHFULLY.
There are approximately 15 to 20 survey questions, depending on your
answers.
If 'YES' is the right answer for you, TOUCH the (green) 'YES' button.
If 'NO' is the right answer for you, TOUCH the (blue) 'NO' button.
Use your same finger to answer every question.
It is very important for you to read over each issue so you will understand
the meaning of each question pertaining to that issue.
Some of the survey questions you will be asked are general and some are
specifically concerned with WEAPONS, SMUGGLING and TERRORISM.
Answer each question TRUTHFULLY.
TOUCH the (green) YES button to continue.
The following are 3 of the 15 questions in the survey
8. Do you have anything on your person that you or anyone else intends to use as a WEAPON?
11. Is there something about SMUGGLING activities that has not been covered that you are very concernedabout being discovered?
14. Is there anything about TERRORISM activities that has not been covered that you are very concerned about being discovered?
The size of security screening system can be increased or decreased.

PTSSA Stations 1 thru 25 are for the Basic Survey (takes approximately 90 seconds).
PTSSA Stations 26 thru 28 are for the Intermediate Survey (takes approximately 7 minutes).
PTSSA Station 29 is a computer screen that monitors stations 1 thru 28 and is connected to the on site area computer server. There should be two security agents located in this station depending on how many of the 25 PTSSA Stations are open.
PTSSA Stations 1 thru 28 are also connected to the on site area computer server.
The area server is connected to Profiles Research Services master computer server in the United States. The captured raw data from PTSSA Stations 1 thru 28 is sent to the area computer server. The area computer server sends the raw data to the master computer server. The master computer server analyzes the raw data and sends the results back to the area computer server. The area computer server sends the analysis to station 29 where a computer monitor indicates a Green, Yellow or Red icon for each of the 28 PTSSA Stations. A Green is to proceed. Yellow is caution, review analysis. Red indicates a potential threat.
If any of the 1 thru 25 PTSSA Stations indicates a Yellow analysis, it is at the discretion of the security agents whether or not the subject needs to complete the 65 question survey at PTSSA Stations 26 thru 28.
However, if any of the 1 thru 25 PTSSA Stations indicates a Red analysis, the subject will proceed to PTSSA Stations 26 thru 28 to complete a 65 question Intermediate PTSSA survey. If the analysis of the 65 to 75 question Intermediate PTSSA survey indicates a Red analysis, then there are two options…
1. The subject should be question and all baggage thoroughly searched.
and/or…
2. The subject is to take an Advanced PTSSA examination. The Advanced PTSSA survey is similar to the Intermediate PTSSA survey with approximately 100 to 125 questions (takes approximately 10 minutes. The Advanced PTSSA survey is to be done in a quiet interview room with no outside distractions monitored by a security agent trained in modern interviewing and interrogation techniques. If the analysis of the Advanced PTSSA examination continues to indicate a Red analysis, then the agency will need to update procedures addressing this issue.
Profiles Research Services fee for analyzing each PTSSA raw data is on a sliding scale starting at $1.00 US sliding down to $0.35 US depending on annual volume (this fee may be negotiated). An escrow account will be set up to satisfy the analysis fee based upon estimated volume. When a low balance is reached, then the escrow account will automatically be replenished. |
